Helping children build the everyday skills they need to grow with confidence and independence.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

What Is Occupational Therapy?

Our pediatric occupational therapists help children build the foundational skills needed for daily life — from play and school tasks to self-care and emotional regulation.

Through hands-on, play-based activities, we support development in areas such as motor coordination, sensory processing, attention, and functional independence.

Who Benefits From OT?

Occupational therapy supports children who experience:

Developmental delays
Sensory processing challenges
Fine motor delays
Difficulty completing self-help routines
Feeding challenges
Emotional regulation or social participation difficulties
ASD
ADHD
Down Syndrome

OT meets each child exactly where they are and helps them build confidence step-by-step.

What to Expect in Sessions

OT sessions are individualized, engaging, and play-based, designed to meet your child’s unique strengths, needs, and interests.

Therapists use purposeful play, sensory-rich activities, and structured routines to build skills in a natural, motivating way. Parents receive guidance and simple strategies to support progress at home and in everyday routines.

Common Goals & Outcomes

Through consistent OT support, children may experience:

Improved fine motor coordination (grasping, handwriting, utensil use)

Better sensory processing and self-regulation

Increased independence in self-care routines

Enhanced attention, focus, and confidence in new tasks

Greater participation in school and play activities

At its core, OT helps your child gain confidence, build independence, and experience success in the moments that matter most.

Getting Started

Most families begin OT services through their Regional Center Service Coordinator. After intake, an initial evaluation may be completed through PTC to determine which services best support your child.
